Assisted Living Facility Director
Assisted Living Facility serving people with physical disabilities on need a strong, friendly, and caring Director.
Their responsibilities include acting as a buffer between the residents and the management staff and helping the Executive Director with thier daily activities. He or She will learn about healthcare policies and proceedures, customer service, and our philosophy of helping a person with a physical disability continue to live a independent, dignified lifestyle. A director's routine should consist of touring the building daily, handling resident conflicts, meeting with the residents one-on-one, informing residents about building activities, policies and procedures, maintaining customer service standards and building standards, and if unable to answer resident questions, refer the resident to the appropriate area or staff member, review compliance standards and the general health and well-being of the residents, assist Executive Director with administrative hearings, budgeting and with advertising for new employees and initial interviewing of new employees.
Any good assisted living Director must possess the following characteristics:
1. Be organized and be able to keep other on track
2. Have management experience (healthcare management experience is a plus)
3. Have a strong understanding of Illinois employment rules and regulations
4. Be a gregarious and attentive person
5. Have a strong, but general understanding of computers
6. Most importantly, have strong customer service skills
